ADHSU, or Ambulance Division HSU, is the dedicated union for Paramedics and support staff. The Ambulance Division is run by members, for members, with strong involvement of the ADHSU council – a group of currently serving paramedics elected by the membership.
The ADHSU has enjoyed a series of victories thanks to its collaborative approach. An HSU challenge to unfair rural rostering practices was successful, while a high-profile media and public campaign effectively put paid to ‘trolley block’ at hospitals by ending the practice of Duty Ambulance Release Teams.
The Division is currently fighting the State Government’s unfair cuts to the Ambulance Death & Disability scheme to have a satisfactory insurance scheme reinstated.
Should any member require advice or assistance in a disciplinary matter they can contact the HSU on 1300 478 679.
