Union fees are tax deductible, so you can save some of your union fees back by claiming them on your tax return. A statement from the HSU will be sent to you each year telling you how much you have paid in fees.

‡ A student member is any person studying in a profession that is constitutionally covered by the rules of the union. When a student member commences work in a workplace / profession that is constitutionally covered by the rules of HSU they will be required to pay the appropriate union fee.
§ When trainees commence to receive an award/agreement rate of pay they will be required to pay the appropriate union fee.
