The HSU financial reports now meet general standards of accounting for companies and are higher than are usually required of trade unions.
Other reporting requirements such as declarations by HSU officers and minutes of Union Council meetings are provided in the members’ area of the website.
This makes the union more accountable and transparent to its members.
Log in to the HSU Members section to view annual financial reports, declarations of officers and minutes of council meetings.
Below are the financial disclosures as required under the rules of the HSU NSW and the HSU NSW, Branch.

S288 IRC Decision on reporting requirements
Under the previous leadership, the HSU East had failed to adequately report its financial situation in line with the Industrial Relations Act. This has now been rectified with the Industrial Relations Commission. See the attachments here for the Report for the year ending 30 Sept 2011 prepared by BDO, the Balance Sheet Profit and Loss for 30 June 2012 and the Audited Financial Statement for 1 July 2012 to 30 Sept 2012. As a result of evidence put to the IRC and the cleanup of the HSU under new leadership, the Industrial Relations Commission now accepts that the HSU has met its financial reporting requirements. See the IRC decision explaining this here.
