ACT Pathology: Changes to Covid testing

ACT Pathology is proposing changes to Covid PCR testing from 1 July 2023.

The proposed plan is for the return to a ‘business as usual’ model while ensuring ACT Pathology is able to respond to new testing surges should they occur.

The current 24x7 roster will remain in place until 30 June 2023. Temporary laboratory positions will not be extended beyond that date, and the molecular laboratory will revert to pre-covid hours of operation while having molecular scientists on-call to respond when required.
