Armidale Hospital members meeting - We need a fair pay rise

Health workers' wages have been going backwards for decades.

In the leadup to the state election, this Government promised that health workers would finally get a fair pay rise.

Now Labor is in power, but instead of a reasonable increase, they’ve offered health workers only 4%.

This doesn’t even begin to address the cost-of-living crisis.

On Wednesday 31 May, union members across NSW took action to show this Government that health workers are serious about fighting for the pay rise they deserve.

Our message to the Premier is loud and clear: it’s time to deliver on his promises.

HSU members will continue to take action until their demands are met. There’s no time to wait – come to your local union meeting on 14 June at 11:30am in the staff dining room. At this meeting, union members will decide on the next steps in our campaign for fair pay.

The Government has publicly thanked health workers for their service to the community. But when it comes to action, not a single ounce of that gratitude has translated to a fair pay rise.

HSU members won’t put up with it any longer.
