From the Secretary
Your union, the HSU, met with Health Infrastructure management this week to commence consultation on the Health Infrastructure strategic plan.
In the meeting, your HSU representatives focused on the impact the plan would have on HI staff.
HI management communicated that the impact on HI staff would be primarily:
Your HSU representatives highlighted the issue of insecure employment at HI and the ongoing use of fixed term contracts.
In addition, your HSU representatives discussed at length concerns raised HSU members working in Health facilities, especially around the issue of staff amenities and a healthy built environment.
Despite consultation being entered into at a late stage, HI management have agreed that further feedback from HSU members can inform the plan.
If you have any questions or feedback, please email [E-Mail not displayed] by close of business, Friday 13 November.
It is very important that HSU members are aware consultation needs to occur prior to any workplace change that impacts staff being implemented.
We can only help HSU members through any change process. Please encourage your workmates to join online at www.hsu.asn.au/join or phone 1300 478 679.
When we stand together, our voices can’t be ignored. Join today and stand with over 47,000 workers in health, ambulance, aged care, disability care, and private health!
