HSU tells MPs 'we need change'

Our campaign to end the wages policy and fix the Awards has taken a major step this week.

HSU members across a range of hospitals and health worksites have started meeting with local MPs to explain how broken the current Wages, Awards and Salary Packaging system is in NSW.

These meetings will be occurring across over the next 2 months so that all MPs know that their local health workers need a better, modern and fairer wages and Awards system.

If you haven’t added your voice and endorsed the list of demands we are putting to MPs, please do so now at this link: https://www.hsu.asn.au/our-latest/lets-get-it-fixed/

We will be meeting with many more MPs over the coming months. Having the support of all HSU members is essential to get the MPs to care about your wages and conditions – and to take action.

The other essential step is growing union membership across public health.

The big problems of workloads, allowances, classifications and career paths, salary packaging and wages, can only be won with strong and active union membership.

If your workmates want change, they have to be an HSU member to be part of that change.

Encourage them to join today online at www.hsu.asn.au/join or phone 1300 478 679.
