HSU Win! RSL Lifecare agrees to fix underpayment

Dear Member,

Earlier this year, HSU members from RSL Lifecare reported they were not being paid at the correct hourly rate, following the interim decision in the HSU’s historic Work Value Case.

HSU members raised their concerns with RSL Lifecare management, and following a payroll audit, uncovered a significant underpayment of wages. This underpayment affects over 100 employees across every RSL Lifecare facility in NSW and the ACT.

After months of advocacy, HSU members have just secured confirmation from RSL Lifecare that:

  1. Communication will go out to impacted employees by 20 June 2024, detailing their backpay entitlements; and
  2. Backpay will be paid to all affected employees no later than 4 July 2024.

This is a significant win for Union members and shows that when we are active and united, we WIN!
