Macquarie University Hospital Enterprise Agreement

Our Union has been negotiating your Enterprise Agreement for 18 months. During this time, we have fought hard for better conditions and pay.

Despite this, the latest (and what they say is the final) offer from MUH is the about to be put out to be voted on by you.

This pay offer is too low for the HSU to recommend that members vote yes. The final salary offer for employees is as follows:

  • 0.75% - First full pay period on or after 1 January 2021
  • 0.75% - First full pay period on or after 1 July 2021
  • 1.75% - First full pay period on or after 1 July 2022

This is despite the fact that:

  • Calvary Riverina got 3.1% over three years
  • Healthe Care got 2.2-2.5%. 

Part-time employees will also receive a lower overtime rate (120%) and there is also no sufficient recognition of service or guaranteed incremental pay increases for employees.

It is up to members to decide whether or not to accept MUH’s offer, however the proposed Enterprise Agreement could be vastly improved if the parties were to continue bargaining.
