Nepean OA members finally given a date for backpay - but told calculations changed

Yesterday, Nepean management advised they will have backpay calculations to present to Operations Assistant members on 3 June. Considering how long they have had to address this outstanding matter, this is a frustrating delay.

Concerns have also been raised that management have changed the way they are calculating backpay. Originally, this was to be set at 5 allowances per week for full-time staff dating back to 2018. However, it has now been changed to an average of allowances calculated over a set period of time.

There will be an HSU members zoom meeting on Wednesday 22 May at 6pm to discuss options and seek members’ instructions for the next steps.
