Bupa Clemton Park Workplace Change Meeting

As a response to the growing concerns about the major workplace change meeting that commenced early December 2020, local HSU Organiser HyoJung Kim visited your workplace on 8th of December 2020 and contacted the local management immediately after that. As a result, the Workplace Relations Team at Bupa Head Office contacted the HSU on 17th of December 2020 and confirmed the following:

  • What was discussed at the previous workplace change meetings you attended can be ignored for now.
  • The new workplace change meetings will commence in mid-January 2021.
  • The management will make sure the staff exercise their right to be represented by a Union official at those meetings.
  • There will not be any roster change until the next meeting in early next year.

As you saw from the previous newsletter, you have the right to be consulted about the change.

Part of the consultation must include all relevant information about the change, including what the possible effects will be. Management must also give you the opportunity to provide your views on the change. For some, this proposed change might result in a significant impact financially or on your family and caring responsibilities.

While it is important for members to engage in this process to better understand what is being proposed and how you are impacted, you should not feel pressured to agree or sign anything until you are confident in your decision or you have received representation.

Encourage your workmates to join HSU. Only HSU members get representation and advice to stand up for their rights and protect their job.
