Earlier this week management of Bundeleer called for meetings across both sites to advise all staff of the board’s decision to ‘repurpose’ the Johnstone Street site. Your organiser Karen Wiles attended of these meetings.
The expectation from management was for all Johnstone Street staff to transfer to the Cameron Street site or to have the opportunity to take up a position in Home Care and all existing guaranteed hours of will remain the same. Those who are regularly working above their contracted hours will have the opportunity to have the extra hours increased in any new contract.
HR representatives will be meeting with all Johnstone Street staff from next week to gauge the needs and preferences of staff. You do NOT need to decide anything in these initial meetings. Do not feel pressured into agreeing to anything.
