Roster changes at Bundaleer: Know your rights!

  • Published December 9, 2022

Bundaleer Management recently circulated a notice outing their intention to commence a ‘project’ that will consider changes to rosters. The staff notice can be viewed at this link.

Major workplace changes can be concerning, so it’s important that we stand together and make sure that any proposed changes don’t leave staff worse off.

Union members have rights during any major workplace change, which include:

  1. Bundaleer must consult with all affected staff members. That means:

Bundaleer must provide in writing all relevant information about the change.
Bundaleer must give you time to consider the change, raise any concerns, or give your views about the proposed change.
Bundaleer must consider your views about the impact of the change.

  2. HSU members have the right to be represented by the union. If your colleagues are not yet HSU members, encourage them to join the union so that they are represented.
  3. Do not sign anything you are not happy with. Contracted hours cannot be cut without your approval. All HSU members are encouraged to seek advice before signing or agreeing to any changes.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss the proposed process, please contact your HSU Organiser Karen Wiles on 0408 164 519 or [E-Mail not displayed].

Are your colleagues members of the union? If not, encourage them to join today! Only HSU members will be represented by the union, and only HSU members can access union stand up for their rights at work. New members can join now at www.hsu.asn.au/join or by calling 1300 478 679.
