The HSU has been informed that SNSWLHD management intend to engage external contractors to perform Violence Prevention Management (VPM) training, starting February 2022. This decision was undertaken without consultation with your Union.
Members contacted the HSU to express concerns that VPM training has not taken place since May 2021. Your employer has a duty of care to keep you safe while at work – this includes VPM training.
The HSU has notified the District of a dispute and invoked status quo, meaning that changes must not occur until management has consulted the HSU and its membership.
