SWSLHD Primary & Community Health: Follow up meeting for Allied Health

Last Wednesday September 8, a large number of Allied Health staff SWSLHD Primary and Community Health team attended a zoom meeting. Emerging as a theme from this meeting was the pressing anxiety felt by staff.

Members stated that they volunteered for a role to assist with the COVID crisis, have made their contribution, and now feel they are now unable to return to their current roles. There was also considerable concern expressed about clients who may be affected by this state of affairs.

Members reported that “volunteer” staff have unreasonable KPIs, adding pressure to their own distress at a very difficult time.

Your organisers Gina Agius and Parthiv Mehta have been in contact with senior management and are awaiting a response to your concerns. They have organised a members-only follow up zoom meeting tomorrow, Wednesday 15 September to provide an update and to check in with your co-workers.
