Tonight’s panel:

Dr Anthony Llewellyn:
Anthony is a consultant psychiatrist now working as a management consultant and coach based in Newcastle.  Anthony has been a long-term member of the labour movement in Australia and was a past HSU Councillor for many years.

Dr Lee Fong: 
Dr Lee Fong is a Newcastle GP working in Adamstown.  He has a particular interest in COVID-19 related issues and is a providing medical support for the Hunter New England Local Health District COVID-19 vaccination hubs and is a senior clinical editor for the Hunter New England Central Coast Healthpathways COVID-19 clinical guidelines.  He is also senior Clinical Director for Hunter Primary Care, an expert group member for the Therapeutic Guidelines group, President of the GP Deputising Association, and secretary for the Hunter General Practitioners’ Association.

Patrick Gashman:
Patrick Gashman is a Public Health Nurse specialising in immunisation. He has set up and managed Vaxtracker- a program proving COVID vaccination safety to the Therapeutic Goods Administration. He’s the guy who educates doctors about vaccinations. And mostly importantly he is a union member.

Jamila Gherjestani:
Jamila is a Senior Industrial and Work Health and Safety Lawyer. Jamila has over 8 years of experience in representing and advocating for union members across a variety of industries, including, health, aged care, disabilities, construction, manufacturing, and transport.

Tess Oxley:
Tess Oxley is a Paramedic working in metro Sydney. She has been on the pandemic’s frontline, responding to and transporting COVID patients across Sydney’s hotpot LGAs. Tess is passionate HSU delegate with an interest in women’s health and rights.

Dr Pradeep Rajagopalan:
Dr Rajagopalan is a General Physician and Respiratory Specialist who has been working in the United Kingdom. Dr Rajagopalan has firsthand experience dealing with COVID-19 in the UK. He is soon to join the Townsville Hospital as a Respiratory Physician.

Dr Scott Winch:
Dr Scott Winch is a Gundungurra and Wiradjuri man. He is World Vision Australia’s senior First Nations policy advisor, with training and expertise in epidemiology and public health. Dr Winch is also an avid surfer.
