NSWHP: Proposed additional trial shift, Calvary Mater Specimen Reception

The HSU has received correspondence from NSW Health Pathology about a proposed trial of an additional shift time for Technical Assistants in Specimen Reception at the Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital.

Through initial discussions with employees at Calvary Mater Newcastle, NSW Health Pathology proposes to keep the current shift of 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, worked by all three (3) employees with a proposed change, on a trial basis, to introduce an additional morning shift to stagger start times as below:

  • 08:00-16:30 (morning shift)
  • 08:30-17:00 (day shift)
