Allied Health Professionals Statewide Zoom Meetings

  • Published May 26, 2022

The HSU is commencing the next round of Allied Health statewide zoom meetings next week.

The last round of meetings was a great success, with hundreds of members attending. The feedback and information provided from members in the last round of zoom meetings has guided the HSU’s formation of specific Professional Advisory working committees and provided the basis for the upcoming Award Reform survey.

The second round of meetings will be a chance for members to provide feedback on collective issues impacting members and hear updates from the HSU Industrial team following the recent statewide Delegates Conference.

The next 12 months will be a continuation of the work to break the wages policy and update your awards! As inflation rises sharply, Allied Health needs more than platitudes. It’s time for members across the state to build the collective power required to fix the issues plaguing your workplaces.

Some of the issues that will be explored during the second round of mass zoom meetings include:

  • Breaking the wages policy
  • Increasing salary packaging benefits returned to members up to 100%
  • Award reform
  • Safe staffing levels

Each health professional stream will have their own zoom meeting. You can find the complete list and register to attend at this link: www.hsu.asn.au/events.

Know someone who isn’t yet an HSU member? These issues affect us all, so it’s important that we all stand together. Encourage your colleagues to join today at www.hsu.asn.aujoin or call 1300 478 679.
