Award reform has started!

Yesterday HSU members met with the Ministry of Health about Award reform. Members were clear: Award reform is urgent. There is no time to wait.

The next step is agreeing on what the new Award structure will look like. Members have endorsed a proposed new structure which will be discussed at the next meeting.

Negotiating the right Award structure is vital to the future of HSU Awards. It is the first step to be resolved before discussions on pay, conditions and staffing can commence.

Members across NSW are currently voting on what improvements we need to core conditions that affect everyone. But there are hundreds of different classifications each with their own unique challenges.
