Canterbury Community Health Centre- Award Reform: Do you want to be on the state bargaining committee?

The process of Award reform has now well and truly begun, with HSU members taking a seat at the table with government to determine the changes you want to see in your Awards. These are changes that will affect everyone working in NSW Health – so it’s vital that we get them right.

It is important to hear from all classifications and all geographical areas, it’s important that everyone is represented. Expressions of interest are now being sought for members of the statewide Award bargaining committee.

This committee will include approximately 150 HSU members from across NSW. Members of this committee will:

  • Attend state-wide committee meetings to discuss the negotiations and state-wide campaign strategy.
  • Report back to HSU members their worksite on how negotiations are going.
  • 15 members of the state-wide bargaining committee will form the negotiation team.

Think you have what it takes? Nominate here. Canterbury Community Health Centre is entitled to 1 member on the bargaining committee. If more than 1 member nominates, members will be asked to vote for their preferred committee member. Nominations will close at 5pm on Sunday 17 December.

Together, we are putting HSU members at the front of award reform and making our health system work for workers once again.

Know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.
