DOM Action Still On

While we shift our focus back to action for paramedic professional pay, just a reminder that ADHSU DOM members continue their bans and are still fighting for additional DOM numbers and maintenance of DOM rosters.

These demands have been reinforced now more than ever, with NSWA’s ‘holy grail’ Frontline Leadership Review proposal delivering zero relief of DOM workload.

The current DOM bans are as follows:

  1. No actioning of Time Sheets, only actioning time sheets to remove Veritas holds;
  2. No actioning of IMS unless it relates to paramedic or patient safety. The threshold or criteria for actioning the IMS is if the reported situation presents an ongoing risk or hazard to the health, safety, and wellbeing of patients or paramedics of the Ambulance Service.
  3. No actioning of hospital delays;
  4. A ban on fleet management. All fleet related issues will be referred to the Duty Superintendent. This includes, but is not limited to, fleet for SCC, motor vehicle collisions, and admin cars for training schools and relief. However, DOMs will continue to attend to Paramedic welfare with regards to fleet;
  5. A ban on the management of clinical or operational KPIs. This will include management or discussion of PDPs. DOMs will continue to attend to paramedic welfare and perform welfare checks.

If you have any questions, please refer to your local ADHSU DOM delegate.

P.S Also a reminder to liquid chalk your vehicles and support on-road paramedics in continuing their chalk campaign.
