Happy Allied Health Professions Day!

October 14 is a particularly important day in the calendar, as each year we come together to recognise and celebrate Allied Health Professions Day.

From dietitians to orthoptists, social workers to occupational therapists and so many more, the contributions of allied health professionals to the frontline of the health workforce are invaluable. The range of specialised skills of allied health professionals are essential in achieving outcomes for patients, and the wider community.

HSU members have a long and proud history of advocating for the rights of the allied health workforce and achieving real outcomes. We are currently working on bringing outdated award classifications in line with the complexity and value of the services you deliver each day.

Thank you to each and every allied health professional. You deserve to be celebrated.
