In January, HSU members successfully organised a petition for a backdated wages offer. In February, we had membership-wide discussions about what steps to take if we didn’t receive a wages offer from Healthscope by March.

Today, Healthscope has put an offer on table, which includes wage increases scheduled for:

•  An initial increase of 5% at the time of the new agreement, with backpay to October 2021.
• 3.75% from October 2023.
• 3.25% from October 2024.
• 2.5% from October 2025.

We’ve had to fight to get this far. The offer is the result of our collective efforts, spurred on by workplace delegates and activists. What’s next? That’s a decision for us to make collectively. Come to tonight’s Zoom meeting to help decide!
