HNELHD: Proposed temporary relocation of JHH wards to Maitland Hospital

HNELHD is proposing the temporary relocation of some wards at John Hunter Hospital to Maitland Hospital, commencing October 2023.

As part of the works for the John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct (JHHIP), HNELHD is proposing to relocate 28 beds from Rehab (E1), Rankin Park Centre and General Medicine (G1) will relocate to Maitland Hospital from 18 October for a period of no longer than 24 months. Once construction is complete, these services should be transferred back to JHH.
