HSU bargaining delegates set their sights on award reform

Yesterday, HSU bargaining representatives met to kick off Award Reform negotiations with the Ministry of Health.

Your fifteen elected representatives had one message for the Ministry: Awards are outdated. Conditions are unacceptably poor. Staff are leaving.

These things we know. We also know that now is our opportunity to change it.

HSU members are united – the Ministry of Health and the Government must recognise the value of health workers.

Yesterday’s meeting kicked off the important process that will lead to improving conditions for health workers. This was an initial meeting to discuss timeframes and processes for this year. When dates have been set down for negotiations, members will be updated.

HSU members are driving this change. We need everyone to get on board. This opportunity won’t come again.

With strong membership, we’re going to build a health system for the future. Invite your colleagues to join today at www.hsu.asn.au/join.
