HSU members take on BMDH management over ambulance bay registration

HSU members held a disputes meeting with management today to address their concerns about the controversial practice of registering patients in the ambulance bay.

Management introduced this practice without consultation. HSU members have banded together to compel management to meet with them and hear their concerns.

Members communicated their WHS concerns about being at risk of unwell patients and unpredictable patient behaviour, and explained the service delivery impacts to management.

In response, management has agreed to draft a proposed workflow document to circulate next Wednesday 15 May for consultation with HSU members.
