HSU win! CCLHD Medical Imaging dispute settled

  • Published February 3, 2023

For ten months HSU members and delegates have been in dispute with the CCLHD around the proposed restructure of Medical Imaging.

And now all this hard work has paid off!

After ten months of dispute meetings and Industrial Relations Commission conferences the dispute was concluded yesterday morning.

Some of the improvements that members have won include:

  • Over four FTE will be made permanent through casual conversion.
  • No additional duties for Level Four radiographers.
  • Revised rosters.
  • SOP and escalation process for meal breaks.
  • The above SOP will be communicated to all departments.
  • The HSU will be involved in evaluations of the new system at the three and six month point after commencement.

It is anticipated that the new structure and roster will be implemented from 27 February 2023.

Congratulations to members and delegates for their hard work and persistence throughout this dispute. Now members must stand together and support each other and be vigilant about their breaks and finishing on time. When we are united, we bring about safer and fairer working conditions. Do not back down.

Please seek support and advice from your delegates, or your Organiser Matt Ramsay. You can email him at [E-Mail not displayed].
