Your Union has been informed there are numerous Laverty COVID-19 collection sites at which there are inadequate stores and PPE (personal protective equipment), as well as a lack of training and induction. These failures constitute a risk to your health and safety, as well as that of your patients and the broader community.
In order to eliminate or minimise these health and safety risks, we need to determine exactly what PPE items are needed, at what sites they are needed, and what improvements to training you as workers propose.
To make sure your feedback is raised and addressed, please contact your organiser at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition, a zoom meeting for all HSU members at Laverty will be convened tomorrow Thursday 22 July to discuss these concerns and any other issues. Please join us:
If you know someone at your workplace who hasn’t yet joined the Union, encourage them to take the plunge today. The greater our numbers, the stronger our ability to fight for your rights. New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
