Lumus EBA Update: Still no wages offer

Your HSU bargaining reps have been meeting with Lumus for the past 2 months on a fortnightly basis and patiently waiting for Lumus to present their proposed new classification structure and wage rates.

The HSU was expecting this information at our next scheduled meeting. However, disappointingly your union was notified the afternoon prior that Lumus is not ready and cancelled the agreed meeting. Lumus have now advised the proposed classification structure and wage rates will not be ready until July 19.

The HSU considers this is a stalling tactic, further delaying your EBA negotiations. There are still many other important issues to be resolved, including:

  • On-call and re-call provisions
  • Penalty rates on weekends, evenings and night shift
  • Overtime provisions

Lumus have proposed no alterations in response to the above claims. This will result in a real wage cut for members across all Lumus sites. The HSU will relay member concerns about the progress of EBA negotiations to Lumus.

Over the next few weeks, HSU Organisers will be increasing site visits to Lumus facilities and arranging member meetings to update you. Please look out for emails and SMS for details.
