COVID Update

In light of the recent COVID-19 outbreaks, again HSU members are being called on to keep our community safe.

Many HSU members will be impacted by the recent outbreaks, either directly in their personal life or at work.

Many will have had plans for the Christmas/New Year period that are now in doubt.

I just want to reassure members that your HSU representatives and ready to support you through any workplace issue.

HSU representatives are in daily contact with the Ministry of Health and employers about the measures being put into place to keep our community and health staff safe.

We encourage all HSU members to follow any advice on safety precautions in your workplace.

As with any outbreak, members may have a range of concerns that they want advice or support on.

Whether it is safety issues and PPE, workplace change or questions about leave and special leave, please contact your HSU representatives.

You can call us on 1300 478 679 or email [E-Mail not displayed] with any issues.

During these difficult times, the work of HSU members continue to deserve the admiration and thanks of the people of NSW.

We hope that all HSU members stay safe and have some time over the Christmas/New Year period to rest and recuperate.

We would also encourage HSU members to talk to their workmates about becoming a union member.

A safe and fair workplace is only achievable with strong union membership.

Encourage your workmates to join online www.hsu.asn.au/join or phone 1300 478 679.

In unity,

Gerard Hayes

Secretary HSU NSW/QLD/ACT
