From the Secretary
Today the Federal Government has released the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety’s final report.
I am working through the eight volumes, including the Commissioner’s 148 Recommendations on how we can fix our aged care system.
We have waited years for this day, and for many HSU members, I know how difficult that wait has been.
You can read the Royal Commission’s final report here, and the recommendations here.
It is now up to us. We have to fight to hold the federal government to account. We cannot let this report sit on a shelf to collect dust.
Now is the time to fight, to get these recommendations adopted, now is the time to change aged care.
Join us on Wednesday to talk about next steps in our campaign: HSU members Royal Commission Briefingat 3.30pm 3 March https://zoom.us/j/92873789454
If you can’t attend this meeting but want to get involved in the campaign email [E-Mail not displayed].
Again, I am so proud of our campaign and each and every one of you for the success we’ve had so far. We’re just getting started.
