Newcastle Private Hospital: Failure to consult re facility upgrades
Published December 2, 2022
Over the Christmas and New Year period, Newcastle Private Hospital is undertaking some much-needed renovations and upgrades to the kitchen.
A kitchen upgrade is a positive thing, but under your current agreement members still have a right to be consulted about any impacts on them while these works are being completed.
Following initial feedback from members, including potential Work Health and Safety concerns, we contacted HealthScope and asked to be provided information about the changes. Unfortunately, they refused.
This is the second time HealthScope have failed to consult and meet their obligations under the current agreement.
Your HSU Organiser will visit on Monday 5 December to meet with members. SMS messages will be sent confirming the time and venue.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Organiser Brendan Roberts on 0425 181 361 or [E-Mail not displayed].
Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.
