NSLHD: Ryde Hospital Redevelopment Change Consultation

The HSU has been advised by Northern Sydney Local Health District of further proposed changes as part of the Ryde Hospital redevelopment.

As part of the initial construction works, the following temporary changes are being proposed:

  • Temporary relocation of the kitchen, stores, and linen to the Graythwaite building with a new ramp connecting the building to Trigg House. Also, temporary site sheds on the roof of the building to accommodate project, engineering, and hospital executive offices.
  • Relocation of the engineering workshop and waste management (bin storage and rubbish compactor) to new temporary buildings.
  • Temporary inpatient unit to be constructed next to the operating theatres.
  • Temporary loss of car parking, including from the building basement. However, NSLHD says alternative off-site staff parking will be made available.
