Ramsay NSW Health Professionals and Support Services EA approved!

The Fair Work Commission has approved your new Ramsay Health Care NSW Health Professionals and Support Services Enterprise Agreement! Click here to view or download the agreement.

This was a hard-fought negotiation process, with Ramsay attempting to roll back many of the entitlements that were in the previous EA. The only thing stopping them from succeeding was grassroots union activity: HSU members talking proudly and openly about being union, participating in meetings, and putting your hands up to be counted.

The new conditions to look out for include:

  • Three annual pay increases effective from December 2022 (2.5%), 2023 (3.25%), and 2024 (3%). All back payments for past increases should have been administered by now.
  • Revised classifications for Dispensary Pharmacy and Radiography employees.
  • Minimum of 10 hours’ break between rostered shifts, unless the employee elects otherwise [clause 26.4].
  • Excess annual leave increased to 8 weeks [clause 46.11].
  • Improvements to Annual Leave entitlements for shift workers [clause 46.4].
  • Pay entitlements specific to remote on-call work [clause 32].
  • Employees who are required to work through a meal break, if authorised by their manager, are to be paid for that time worked [see Undertaking #9 in Annexure A].
