Rural Health Workforce Incentives Scheme

  • Published May 2, 2023

The Rural Health Workforce Incentives Scheme (RHWIS) is an incentives package from the NSW Government to support recruitment and retention in targeted areas in rural and regional NSW.

Incentive packages can be up to $10,000 in value, dependent on the position and location.

Further information can be found in the link below:

Jobs that have RHWIS incentives should be easily identifiable in the job posting. If you are offered an an incentivised position, there will be an opportunity to discuss your incentives package with the relevant NSW Health agency.

Existing rural and regional workers may also be eligible for an incentives package and should discuss this with their manager.
