Ryde Hospital Wardspersons CPR Training

  • Published May 18, 2023

Are you a Wardsperson at Ryde Hospital?

Members have advised that Doctors and Nurses are directing Wardspersons to assist in or perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on patients without proper training.

Are you trained in CPR practices?

If the answer is no, then you have the right to refuse to assist in or perform CPR practices. CPR training needs to be refreshed every year for it to be valid.

Contact your HSU Organiser Kym Morgan on [E-Mail not displayed] if you have been directed to assist in or perform in CPR without proper training.

Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.
