Recently, car parking fees for St Vincent’s Private Hospital workers have increased to from $6.50 to $8 a day.
HSU delegates have been talking to members about the increases, which are leaving many anxious in a time of economic uncertainty.
I have written to the CEO of St Vincent Private Hospital, outlining that HSU members are frontline workers and asking how the Hospital intends to mitigate this extra expense for workers. You can read my letter here.
In these times, frontline workers need a pay rise – not a pay cut. If you are upset about these increases, please talk to your local workplace delegate or contact your organiser Robert Brady on 0448 211 231 or email [E-Mail not displayed].
The stronger our union membership in the workplace, the greater our negotiation power. Know someone who isn’t yet an HSU member? Tell them to join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
