Today ADHSU delegates met with NSWA to discuss the urgent need for mobile relief trailers at hospitals where there is excessive bed block. The Service acknowledged many of the problems being face by paramedics in Sydney metro dealing with the current excessive workload.

After today’s negotiations, the Service has agreed to deploy mobile relief trailers for paramedics at busy hospitals. ADHSU members can make their voices heard by indicating HERE which hospitals have the greatest need.

Delegates will continue discussions with Ambulance around other issues such as 000 call prioritisation, providing catering at hospitals, and ensuring crib breaks and other relief measures are provided to prevent burnout.
