WSLHD: Nominations for Westmead Hospital Allied Health Sub-Branch now open!

Dear Member,

HSU Allied Health/Health Professional members have endorsed the establishment of an Allied Health Sub-Branch at Westmead Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity, which will improve the engagement and power of HSU members across the entire hospital. Sub-branches are important in ensuring your rights and the rights of your fellow health workers are being upheld and your voices are being properly heard.

The Westmead Allied Health Sub-Branch will work closely with the established Westmead General Sub-Branch on major campaigns such as Award Reform.

The first meeting of the sub-branch will be convened on 2 November between 1pm-2pm in the Seminar Room 1 in Radiology.

Several members have already nominated to sit on the new sub-branch, but representatives are still being sought to represent:

  • Social work
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech pathology
  • Physiotherapy
  • Dietetics
  • Psychology
  • Pathology professionals

If you’re interested in nominating to join the sub-branch, please email: [E-Mail not displayed] as soon as possible.

Not interested in nominating for a position, but still interested in the process and next steps? Come along – all Allied Health HSU members are welcome to attend the meeting and it’s important members have their say.

Only HSU members get a voice in the future of your professions. Not a member? Now’s the time to join!

Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.

New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
