Action at Auburn Hospital tomorrow

Health workers at Auburn Hospital are taking strike action tomorrow, joining other workers at Westmead Hospital K Block Main Entrance.

The new state Government was elected on the back of clear promises to health workers to:

  • Put an end to the theft of salary packaging tax savings
  • Abolish the unfair wages cap
  • Reform our out-of-date awards
  • Deliver fair pay rises for health workers after a decade of wage suppression

Well now that they’ve taken your votes, the new Government thinks they can just walk away from these promises.

WE WON’T LET THEM!

Politicians on $300,000 salaries may not have noticed, but the cost-of-living crisis is biting hard for health workers. Workers are having to sell their homes and leave Sydney because they simply can’t afford to live and work here.

Health workers at Auburn Hospital are taking strike action tomorrow for 1 hour at 12pm to demand the Government deliver on their promises for fair wages during the worst cost-of-living crisis in a generation. We need to remind them there is no public health system without health workers!

Join us outside of K Block Westmead Main Entrance to reject the Government’s pay cut! There will be a bus to take members to and from the rally at Westmead, leaving at 11:30am from the main entrance.
