Dear member,

ADHSU members met this morning and placed the following bans and actions on (commencing immediately):

ADHSU members are professionals and are authorised to exempt any individual patient from the below actions to avoid undue suffering or an adverse outcome.

Maintenance of rosters

Shift movement bans. No ADHSU member will agree to be moved away from their usual place of work to fill a roster vacancy unless it is established overtime has been exhausted at the destination (ADHSU members will deem OT to be exhausted after the service uses all efforts to bring in a replacement on OT for at least one hour).

These bans do not include fluid deployment or area coverage. Members can politely request a plan to return to their home station if Control moves them to another location – if there is no plan, the member does not need to move.

Pay increase/back pay

Debtor details – ADHSU members will use ‘Daniel Mookhey, 52 Martin Place Sydney 2000’ in the billing/debtor fields on eMR or PHCRs.

Non-industrial action – breach of uniform policy

ADHSU (registered) paramedics will wear the ADHSU yellow shield in place of the NSWA paramedic shield.

NSWA has taken ADHSU to the IRC regarding the above – the initial hearing is scheduled for 1200 today. Members will be kept up to date with any developments.
