Since November 2022, HSU members have been campaigning for improved pay and better conditions in our new St Basil’s Enterprise Agreement.

Despite staff overwhelmingly rejecting the offer of 2 per cent, management have still not presented a new wage offer for staff to consider.

What’s happened so far?

March 2023 – HSU members table our log of claims, calling for 4 per cent pay increase and improved conditions at work.

September 2023 - St Basil’s offered only 2 per cent pay increase.

October 2023 – 80 per cent of staff votes said NO to management’s poor wage offer.

December 2023 – HSU members sign petitions with more than 300 signatures and deliver Christmas messages to management, calling for a better pay offer. 

Where to from here?

HSU members have been strong and united, but St Basil’s management have not listened and are not taking our claims seriously.
