Allied Health at Mona Vale Hospital: “We Are Not OK”

IMPORTANT: HSU ALLIED HEALTH MEMBERS MEETING WED 10 APRIL, BRU STAFF MEAL ROOM

Allied Health Professional members at Mona Vale Hospital have been working understaffed for far too long. They have voiced their significant WHS concerns which resulted in an Allied Health Review. The report has now been provided to the HSU and you can view it at this link.

It’s very disappointing that the report was not made available for HSU members to review prior to being provided to the LHD and Chief Executive. Some parts of the report were inaccurate and could have been corrected if members had been consulted first.

Despite this, the report has highlighted the significant staffing concerns and recommends increasing FTE across all Allied Health teams.

Unfortunately, the NSLHD Executive have rejected almost all of the report’s recommendations.

It’s time to send a message to NSLHD Executive from MVH Allied Health to say “We are not OK”.

An urgent HSU members meeting has been called for Wednesday 10 April in the BRU staff meal room at 1pm to discuss next steps. Make sure you’re there to have your say.
