Update: St John of God Hawkesbury transition to NSW Health

Since the announcement that St John of God Hawkesbury would be transitioning to NSW Health from 1 July, your HSU representatives have been engaging with both St John of God and NSW Health to get answers to your questions.

Some answers have been forthcoming, but we know the big outstanding question remains: will my accrued leave balances be paid out by St John of God or transferred to NSW Health?

We are still waiting on a decision on this question, but we expect it soon. Both St John of God and NSW Health have agreed to share the decision with HSU members as soon as it is finalised.

Members should also start to receive letters of offer from NSW by the end this month and will be given 2 weeks to decide if they will accept the offer. When you receive your letter, please reach out to the HSU if you have any questions or concerns – you can email [E-Mail not displayed] or call 1300 478 679.

Your HSU representatives are continually pushing for answers to reassure members and allow you to make an informed decision. We will hopefully be able to share more answers following our next meeting on Thursday 11 April.

Members will continue to receive updates as more information is made available. For more information, contact your local workplace delegate or HSU Organiser Melissa Kelly via [E-Mail not displayed] or 0437 145 778.

Know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Tell them to join today so they can be protected. New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
