Allied Health August Update

  • Published September 14, 2022

August has been a big month for the Allied Health Members of the HSU with the largest ever Allied Health award reform survey still underway and the Industrial Advisory Committees for HSU represented professions taking big steps forward.

Allied Health Survey
Allied Health awards are not fit for purpose. To make sure we get award reform right we need the most accurate information about what award issues you face every day, and need fixed the most. We are currently running the biggest Allied Health survey in HSU history which has had thousands of members and non-members complete it already.

Industrial Advisory Committees
Improving conditions for members is important work, but it needs to be driven for members by members. Therefore, we have set up Industrial Advisory Committees for Allied Health professions. These Committees will research issues affecting members, discuss proposals, endorse campaigns and cases but most importantly, act as the democratic and transparent body responsible for the direction of HSU Allied Health professions.
