Allity EA – Fair Work Commission delays vote!

The voting period for your new agreement has been postponed until at least Friday 16 June.

The Fair Work Commission held an urgent conference this week hear union concerns about the proposed enterprise agreement and what Allity is not explaining to staff.

The matter is not resolved. Union representatives  and Allity will meet again in the Commission on the morning of Friday 16 June. Allity have agreed to postpone the vote until after this meeting.

The key concerns being raised in the Fair Work Commission are:

  • That Allity have misled staff regarding the terms and conditions of the proposed agreement;
  • That Allity have not properly explained that this agreement would result in a worse pay outcome for staff than staying on the current agreement;
  • That Allity management have been coercing staff, by incorrectly linking the vote to things outside the scope of the EA like visa sponsorship. This is false.

What’s next?

Talk to your Organiser, HSU Delegate and colleagues about this development. Discuss Allity wanting to cut your wages in this new agreement.

The Fair Work Commission will reconvene on 16 June to further discuss the issues raised. We will update members after that conference.

If your colleagues are not yet members, now is the time to encourage them to join. New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
