HSU members will be aware that HSA and Wardspersons staff working under HealthShare are transitioning to HNELHD management.
The HSU has regularly highlighted the issue of appropriate management of these staff, arguing that placing them in a clinical stream was not appropriate.
At a meeting held this Wednesday 15 June, the HSU indicated agreement to the transition of affected staff at Kurri Kurri and Cessnock Hospitals, because a permanent manager has been appointed.
Following this meeting, the Union received an email from a member to advise that staff would be required to report to the HSM.
Because of this, the HSU has now issued a formal dispute notification relating to the transitioning of staff at Kurri Kurri and Cessnock Hospitals. This means staff will stay under the current management structure.
The HSU will keep members updated and distribute further information as soon as the LHD provides it to us.
