Healthscope bargaining update: Positive signs but still no wage offer

DON’T FORGET – JOIN MEMBERS ZOOM MEETING TONIGHT @ 6:30PM

Workers at Healthscope hospitals have gone over 17 months without a pay increase, in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis.

We have now been at the bargaining table since November 2022, but Healthscope still haven’t made an initial wage offer.

Your HSU bargaining team met with Healthscope representatives again this morning to continue fighting for a fair pay increase. Healthscope confirmed they will backdate any wages increase to 1 October 2021 – a fantastic outcome, as previously no timeframe had been given for how far they would backdate any offer.

While Healthscope didn’t provide us with a wage offer today, they have agreed to ‘make every effort’ to provide their ‘best’ wage offer at our next meeting on Thursday 9 March.

Clearly, members’ activities over the past few weeks have made an impact. We just need to keep up the momentum now.

HSU members will receive a detailed update at the zoom meeting at 6:30pm TONIGHT. Make sure you join the meeting with this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82202705063
