Laverty: Member email action leads to slightly improved wage offer

Over the past week, members have sent hundreds of emails to Healius and Laverty Executives demanding to be respected and valued with a better wage offer.

Your bargaining team met with Laverty yesterday. As a result of all our activity, Laverty have now improved their wage offer to 3.25% for each year of the agreement. This shows that HSU members can make things happen when we all push together!

However, the updated offer still does not include backpay. Laverty has also removed the previous sign-on ‘bonus’ of between $100-$500.

By voting No in December to Laverty’ previous offer, and taking collective action through our open letter, we have secured these slight improvements to the offer.

Laverty have indicated they are now preparing for another vote, with a voting period starting Monday 7 March.
