The HSU is disputing the opening of the Short Stay Unit at Manning Base Hospital due to a failure to consult with staff and the Union.

This is in breach of Clause 35 of the relevant Award which requires the employer to consult with affected workers and their Union. Consequently, the HSU is disputing this workplace change and demanding that the status quo existing prior to the change prevail.

This means that workers will not work in the new area until genuine consultation has taken place.
